Anyway, I guess I am also going to have to apologize to all the ward members I called "suckers" Sunday as I was jumping up and down running out of Sacrament Meeting on my way to IHOP.
And I guess I owe that girl at IHOP a tip after all.

I think you might have actually had it, but your prideful display at church and lack of tip at the IHOP made God rethink. I think there are going to be a lot of cheap tippers who are suprised to find themselves in a lower degree of glory!
I think once your calling and election is made sure, it cannot be made unsure.
But if your calling and election is made possible, there is the possibility of it being made not so possible.
I made that mistake once. So embarrassing.
Maybe you just got a calling, no election.

Maybe there was an election, but no calling and you won, but then there was a recount because of some ballot tampering and you lost in the run-off to the guy who didn't bash Elder's Quorum. You know how political these things can get.
I'm thinking that you originally had earned it, but Al Franken asked for a recount, and he's now taking your place.
